The Polini Maxi Speed is a powerful alternative to the expensive original variator for the GTS series. This sports variator is built to comply with high-quality manufacturing standards. The bushing has improved lubrication through two fitted seals with a sweeping oil ring ensuring even lubrication distribution across the bushing. This makes for less friction compared to variators of other competitors. The most obvious characteristic of the “Maxi Speed” (9-roller) are the 9 roller weights as compared to only 6 such weights that are standard. The extra rollers increase the surface area the rollers act on, thus lowering the pressure each roller is put under, lowering the wear on them. Acceleration of your engine will especially benefit from the precise and evenly distributed axial load.
